D’Arcy Poultney has been acclaimed as the Liberal candidate for Dartmouth East and will represent the Nova Scotia Liberal Party in the next provincial election. Due to COVID-19, the nomination meeting was conducted virtually.
D’Arcy, his partner, and their two children are active members of the Dartmouth East community. He has held leadership positions with great success in the academic, business, and community sectors. As a manager with organizations such as ISANS and Concentric Nova Scotia, D’Arcy has been able to help immigrants and non-profits build futures right here in Nova Scotia.
“Dartmouth East is my home and deserves a strong voice in government,” said Poultney. “I am excited to build a team that reflects the best of our community, its diversity, and its spirit.”
As an active community leader and volunteer, D’Arcy has twice been recognized by the Province of Nova Scotia for his commitment to volunteerism and education. D’Arcy has been involved with a number of School Advisory Councils and has been able to secure grants to provide more opportunities for students. Currently, D’Arcy is the Chair of the School Advisory Council at Brookhouse Elementary.
“I am so pleased to see D’Arcy become our candidate for Dartmouth East,” said Premier Iain Rankin. “His voice will be a welcome addition in our new Liberal government.”
